So how to install Blender in Ubuntu / Linux Mint?
Blender can be installed via 3 methods
- Method 1: Via PPA
- Method 2: Via Snap store
- Method 3: Via Flathub
Method 1: Via PPA
Step 1: Add the Official PPA
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:thomas-schiex/blender
Step 2: Update the repository
sudo apt update
Step 3: Install Blender 2.91
sudo apt-get install blender
Method 2: Via Snap Store
Step 1: Install Snap package to the system and install blender 2.91
sudo apt install snapd && sudo snap install blender --classic
Method 3: Via Flathub
Step 1: Install Flatpak to your system using this guide based on your distribution
Step 2: Install Blender using flatpak
flatpak install flathub org.blender.Blender
Step 3: Run Blender
flatpak run org.blender.Blender
i got a black screen after using the snap method to install, how do i fix this?
